Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Before calling about this dog, please read our adoption requirements at:

Rukia is a lovely 2 year old described by her foster dad, who is also a dog trainer, as a very sweet girl with the nicest temperament. She’s a medium energy girl who bonds closely to her people. She has really blossomed while on his farm and has enjoyed running around with the other dogs that frequent his home for long pack walks. She has done well with the other farm animals and leaves the cats alone. One of her favorite activities is to play fetch in the fenced yard and spend time with those around her.
Rukia had been with her owner since puppyhood. Due to an unplanned move out of state to an apartment that would not allow German Shepherds, her owner could not take her with him despite trying to pursue several avenues to avoid this. It was evident to the GSRNE evaluators that Rukia had been well cared for and extremely bonded to the owner. Because of this, they knew it would take time for her to decompress and get used to her new surroundings. We wanted to make sure we placed her with an experienced foster home to give her this time. When a spot opened, we accepted her into the rescue. She has transitioned beautifully and is ready to find her forever home. Her foster dad has said that whoever adopts Rukia will be very lucky indeed!
