Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Lucy! Lucy is a 10.5 year old black medium haired cat. She enjoys being center of attention and loves cuddles. She tolerates young children and other animals. She loves cat grass and tuna. She enjoys being around people and has a bad case of FOMO (fear of missing out). Lucy had a bladder stone in April 2020, which was believed to have been caused by stress. After changing her diet for a bit it went away and we have not seen any problems with it since. Lucy is spayed and up to date on her shots. Lucy’s brother Leo is also up for adoption. While they do not have to stay together, if you are looking for a beautiful duo, look no further! Apply today to meet Lucy in her foster home! IMPORTANT: Please read all below, especially if you live outside of Texas, which is where our rescue is located.
Apply to adopt on our website: https://www.charmingpetrescue.org/adopt
All of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots.
ALL of our animals are located in Boerne, TX, but transport after adoption is available to other states for a $300 fee for dogs or an additional fee varying by location for cats. If you are seeing our pets posted in your state, that's because you live near a transport stop, they are not currently at that location.
Petfinder lists our pets as "Out of Town" pets at other locations, and Adopt-a-Pet lists our location as a Transport stop. Those are currently the only options they offer to make this clear, so we put this description we've put at the bottom to explain it. You can read more about transport here: www.charmingpetrescue.org/transport
We understand transport is not an option for everyone, but we offer it at the cost we pay the transport company for those who wish to adopt from us.

More about this rescue
We're a home-based rescue, so there's always someone around to care for the dogs. Most of our dogs are allowed to roam the main yard (as long as they behave themselves), and we have several food and water stations throughout. Every evening, the dogs are tucked into our kennel building with soft bedding.
Our focus is family-friendly dogs who get along with everyone. Of course, we sometimes don't know a dog's temperament until we meet, but we work hard to ensure dogs are going to the right homes for them.
Mission Statement
To provide rescue, rehabilitation and new loving homes for dogs that have been living on the street, abused, abandoned and removed from high kill shelters.
