Cooper is a 6-year old Chihuahua/Corgi mix that weighs about 18 lbs. He was found wandering the streets in Los Angeles, the Shelter that picked him up thinks he was abandoned by his previous owners.
He gets OK with other dogs but is fine being the only dog in the household.. He will sometimes bark at other dogs on his walks but we think he just wants to meet them. He’s a big cuddler and loves belly rubs, he’s always flipping over on his back hoping for a belly rub. He waits to be invited onto the couch and will come up and want to cuddle.
He’s very friendly, sweet and affectionate. He does pull on leash so we’re working on that. He can resource guard his toys and food sometimes so he is best suited in a home with no children. He knows how to sit and is treat motivated. He does have some minor separation anxiety and the Foster parent(s) are working on this with him. Cooper is up-to-date on vaccines, neutered and microchipped. If you are interested in him, please complete the application on our website: www.adoptmerescue.org.
