My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Ivy!

She was picked up as a stray last Labor day weekend. Her time was up after several weeks at the shelter. She needed immediately or she was going to be euthanized. There was something special about this girl and we knew we couldn't let that happen! Ivy was placed with a foster until making her way to NJ in Nov. Ivy was adopted shortly after she arrived to a family with 2 very young boys with one being non-verbal autistic. She just could not adjust to the special needs child and would get very stressed and would act out. Her new family was heartbroken and absolutely loved her but had to do what was best for their boys so she came back to us in Jan. Ivy is the sweetest girl and does well with kids but a home without very small kids will be required. Ivy is approximately 1 1/2 years old now. She is fully vetted (spayed/vacs/chipped), She is housebroken as well as crated trained. This adorable girl is very petite at only 30 lb. She is fantastic with other dogs, not sure about cats, and great with people. She can adjust her energy level based on the dog that she's with. Younger active dogs she's very playful, older or senior dogs she's very respectful of space. She will need a fenced in yard, and it must be 5 to 6 ft tall. It cannot be chain link or split rail. While she is very tiny, she can jump!

If you would like to make this adorable girl a part of your family, please complete the online application to begin the process.

Because our dog & puppies are in foster homes, they can be anywhere within NJ or Eastern Pa. We will set up a convenient time for you as well as the person the dog or puppy is staying with, & bring them to your home when all family members can be present.

More about this rescue

FurryTails Endings Canine Rescue is a small rescue based out of Central NJ. We are an all volunteer group that obtained our Federal 501(c)(3) status in Oct 2015. We rescue from shelters in Tx, AL, MS, SC, NC, WV where there is an over abundance of strays & owner surrenders with a very high-kill rate. Please bare with us as we build and grow. It's a long process that is well underway, but we still have a long way to go. If you would like to help, please let us know! We would love to hear from you, because we strongly feel that without having people like you, we would not be able to save lives! We will do all we can to help our adopters pick the perfect family pet for there lifestyle. We also start our dogs with basic manners and test them for everything so you know what you are adopting from us . Our policy is to be honest about our rescued dogs temperament and health, we tell you everything we know about the dog/puppy. I know I do not like surprises so I do the same for our adopters. We charge lower adoption fees as we feel a good home is way more important then trying to get back what we put into our dogs . We do not do this for the money, we do it for the animals, to give them a second chance at a better life. All our dogs/puppies go from the shelter into a home setting to see how they get along with other dogs/cats. We answer all questions people have and support our rescued dogs and adopters til the end . We do not leave you after you adopt from us we are always a phone call or email away with questions you may have or training advice. Thank you for your support while we take this journey to change the lives of shelter dogs & puppies for the better ...
