My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

My name is Maggie! I am fostered in Danbury, North Carolina but easy, affordable transportation is available. Someone set me out in a trailer park and a kind soul took me in and surrendered me to the rescue. The veterinarian thinks that I am 8 to 10 years old. The rescue is considering me special needs because I am so overweight. I could definitely stand to lose a few pounds! I don’t have any known health problems. I am the sweetest, most humble girl you will ever meet! The lady that took me in originally held me for about 2 weeks waiting for a foster space in the rescue and never heard me bark except to go out and potty - I go out and take care of my business quickly. I have a low to medium energy range. I walk on a leash and I ride well in the car. I'm good with other dogs of all ages and sizes. I have a submissive temperament. I love to be around people and I especially enjoy being petted and loved on. I'm good around power wheelchairs. I am eagerly awaiting my new forever home! I am a great companion - I have so much love and loyal to give!

I am spayed, up-to-date on my rabies and dhpp vaccines, and I am heartworm negative. My veterinarian records will accompany me to my new home. Once an application is approved, my foster's phone number will be provided so that potential adoptors can learn more about me before making an adoption decision.

Email is the best method of contact. Adoption applications can be found on the rescue website Carolinacaninerescuenc.com
