Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Looking to begin the New Year with a new best friend, one who is laid back, very chill, excellent in the home, loves riding in the car, loves to lay by her foster's feet and enjoys basking in the backyard checking out the birds and the bees!!
Her foster mom says "Bailey says she is about the perfect girl! She takes treats from your hand very gently, loves to be brushed, and patted, lets you know when she wants to go out, never has had an accident in the house and does not touch anything that does not belong to her including food. She is NOT afraid of lightening, thunder, Florida storms or fireworks. She does love to go for a walk but doesn't like to encounter other dogs. I really hope she finds a loving and quiet home.":
Bailey came to our Rescue from a young family whose 8 month old baby was beginning to crawl and knowing that the baby would make a beeline for Bailey and probably pull on her ears or poke her eyes, they decided to make the hard decision of letting Bailey come into GREAT Rescue so she could continue her life in a nice quiet, safe and loving home. It was a very difficult decision with many tears shed but it was done for all the right reasons and now we are proud to offer this gentle senior girl to her new forever home.
Her foster mom says" Bailey is amazingly good in the house. She also waits very nicely for her food to be put down and takes a teat very gently from our hand. Sheloves to be brushed and patted. Shelets you know when she needs to go out, never has had an accident in the house and she does not get on furniture uless invited. Bailey does not touch anything that does not belong to her including her food until told to do so. She is not afraid of thunder, lightening or fireworks. She does love to go for a walk and enjoys meeting her laid back special four and two legged friends...I really hope we find the right home for her because she is such a sweet and gentle soul."
Bailey is absolutely perfect in the house and yard-no chewing, countersurfing, going on furniture unless invited, digging or ot her bad manners. She prefers to spend her days in the home with her family or on really nice days, lounging in the yard.or going for a walk to meet her laid back doggie friends. She is perfect for an older retired couple or senior who is home most of the time because she does not necessarily need to be walked but prefers being a homebody where she is familiar with her surroundings and people.
Bailey is ten and a half years old, heartworm negative, spayed, current on all vaccinations and chipped. We are not sure of her mix but could be a combo of Golden Retriever, Australian Shepherd and/or Chow. Her ideal new home will be very quiet and low key with a nice fenced yard, no children or rowdy pets but she could live with a nice quiet laid back dog too. Being an only would suite her just fine as wekk, She must have a fenced yard.
If you are interested in making Bailey part of your family in 2024, please complete an adoption application at www.greatrescue.org or call 904-703-8348 with questions or complete an adoption application at www.greatrescue.org. This is one special girl and lucky is the family who will call Bailey their very own!.
