Scarlet (or Charlotte) aka “Savy” is our sweet girl! She LOVES people, dogs, appropriate children and can’t get enough attention. She would do best in a home where someone works from home or is not away for long periods of time as she thrives being close to her people and pack. She would do well with other dogs that are tolerant of her puppy energy. “Savy” loves balls and squeaky toys. She almost know the word “fetch” and has endless energy. She would make an excellent hiking partner.
“Savy” is working on basic commands, potty training and neighborhood outings to teach her socialization. She came into rescue from the Burley Animal Shelter as a stray, so we don’t know a lot about her life before. Living in a house is new to her. She is shy around loud sounds, the vacuum is terrifying. She needs someone to be patient as she learns what it means to be a part of a family. The vet guessed she is Kelpie/Heeler mix, she is about 7 months old. She weighs in at a whopping 30 pounds.

Since our formation in early 2013, we have helped save thousands of cats and dogs throughout Idaho from neglect, abuse, and death. Many of our rescues come from the Burley Idaho Animal Shelter where PAWS has transformed what was once a high kill facility to a shelter where every adoptable animal gets a second chance! PAWS also takes in stray pets from all over Idaho including Twin Falls, Boise, Nampa, and Caldwell. We work our very hardest to respond to every call for help!
PAWS Rescue, Inc. saves all breeds of cats and dogs of all ages as well as animals who have been hit by cars, shot, abandoned, abused, and neglected.
Rescued animals are placed in loving foster homes or transferred to other no kill partner facilities giving them a chance to find the perfect forever home. Our efforts give these deserving animals a second chance at a happy life.
Every animal receives veterinary evaluation and care, including spay/neuter and vaccines, as well as treatment for any other medical issue they may have. No animal is ever euthanized due to expense.
