My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, I have many names: Appa or Appy or HBB (handsome baby boy). I'm less than 1 year old and shepherd mix. I'm living & loving my foster home, but I want a forever home. I really like playing with my four-legged foster brothers, Shady & Buddy. My two-legged foster mom has me on a fast track becoming a genius dog. I've learned to sit, paw, down, look and go into my crate on command. I'm a really good fetcher, too. When I was a wee little baby, I did not receive enough exposure to new people, animals or places. That means "new" things scare me. It doesn't take me long to feel more relaxed and let my real personality shine. Cuddle time is one of my favorite things to do. Are you willing to be a patient leader and continue teaching me not to pull on walks and gain confidence to concur my "stranger danger"? Yes, then come and meet me. I dare you not to fall in love. Contact my foster mom at fobcas@yahoo.com to learn more about me & set-up a meeting. Don't be a stranger.

Additional adoption info

For our dogs, we are a foster-based organization that primarily helps our county government-operated shelter with surrender diversion, i.e. owners rehoming pets, help with behavior issues, etc. In September 2023 we opened a cat adoption center that supports the effort to keep more cats out of the shelter.
