Additional Adoption Information: Dog Testing: We have not yet had a chance to see how she does with other dogs. Cat Testing: Based on our cat testing she would most likely do good in a home with cats. Kids: Has done well with kids in the past. Housetraining Comments: Appears to be fully housetrained. Special Needs: Unfortunately, Mama Odie came to the Forsyth County Pet Resource Center heartworm positive, but the good news is that the we will provide the necessary treatment for her with no additional cost to you! While Mama Odie is undergoing heartworm treatment she will be placed in our Foster-to-Adopt (FTA) program so that you can start bonding with your new pet and give them a calm place to get better! Heartworm treatment is very safe, and the success rate is high, and the Pet Resource Center prefers for dogs like Mama Odie to recover in a home with an adopter rather than in a shelter.
