Why I need a new home

Does not get along with other pet

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Goes with crate, temp scan microchip

Hi I’m Moose! I’m 3-4 years old and spent most of my life chained up on someone’s front porch. This has lead to my anxiety around new things. I need someone who is patient, can read my body language, and respects my boundaries. I am a sweet, goofy, couch potato who loves to take naps outside.

We brought Moose home ~9 months ago off the euthanasia list at an over crowded shelter. His biggest obstacle is his anxiety but he continues to open up every day so just go slow with new things! He does well on a leash/long lead and in the house but cannot overcome his prey drive towards our cats. We muzzle and crate trained him for this reason, but it’s just not safe for the cats for him to stay here. We love him dearly, but believe he would thrive in a home without any small animals where we could roam free and at ease. He deserves it! Happy to do meet and greets with new dogs! He has shown no signs of being dog reactive.
