Hi! My name is Willie Nelson! I am a handsome 3–4-year-old white/fawn boy with a coat like velvet! My life prior to coming to the rescue is a mystery, but I’m ready to move forward and find my forever home! It was found out I do have a slight grass allergy on my paws in the spring and will chew at them until they are wiped down. After that I am good! I’m a super sweet boy with a moderate energy level! I adore my stuffed turtle and prefer to play with it and my rope toy. I am a stage 5 clinger and snuggler and love to snuggle the humans any chance I get! I am a well-mannered boy but will counter surf if given the chance. I am smart and know basic commands, am house trained, and crate trained. The only time I use my voice is when I must go in the crate. After about 15 minutes, I settle down and wait for the humans to arrive. When I am left out of the crate, I throw a fit so it’s important I use the kennel. I do not like walking with a leash so my foster mom uses an easy walk harness with me and it works very well! I am very selective about my dog friends so it is best that I am an only dog. I am a dominant boy and prefer to stay at the top of the pack. I would probably do best in a home without cats. I like to chase cats, rabbits, and anything that moves quickly and once I zero in on something I do not change my focus until they are out of sight. My foster mom thinks I would pair best in a home with older children because I still think I’m a puppy and play extremely hard and rough house. Some of my favorite things are people, cuddling, bath time, car rides, and using the blow dryer in the morning because I love the heat!
