My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Gingerbread (or Ginger, as her friends call her) is the sweetest love bug you'll ever meet!! She's a small pittie mix, around 3 years old. She found herself in rescue when animal control brought her in as a stray, but this girl clearly had a home at some point as she knows a few tricks and loves a good snuggle!

She loves to catch frisbees, play tug of war, and snuggle with her toys. She is fantastic at playing fetch too! At the end of a long day of play, she enjoys a good, long nap. She is good in a kennel, potty trained, and great with kids too.

She does need some reminders to not jump up in excitement when she meets new friends. She is also learning to walk nicely on a leash, it's just so hard not to pull towards friends and squirrels!

Ginger is dog friendly, but she prefers to be with docile friends who won't challenge her. We do not know how she does with cats.

Her tail is the world's happiest weapon! It wags constantly and fiercely. If you aren't careful, it'll get you!! For this reason, toddlers may not enjoy being the same height as her happy tail. Speaking of happy tail, she does wag so hard that her tail bleeds. We are working to help this heal, but it will take some time.
