My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

We adopted Gretchen out when she was a young girl to a fabulous home. Sadly the owners passed away and sweet, precious Gretchen, who has no eyes, was returned to us. She is with a wonderful foster family who says she learned the layout of their home quickly, she is good with their dogs, loves people and is a little sweetheart. Gretchen deserves a loving home to spoil her rotten for her remaining years. She has had a full exam, shots updated, teeth cleaned and she's ready to go. A quiet home would be good or at least one without a lot of small children running about. We wouldn't want her to get underfoot since she cannot see. Our sweet girl is almost 14 but she doesn't seem like it. We love Gretchen and want the best possible home for her.

More about this rescue

Homeward Bound Pet Rescue was founded by a team of volunteers with many years of experience in pet rescue. With over 20,000 companion animals being euthanized each year in the Midlands of SC, our goal is to save as many as possible from this dreadful fate. Rescue is expensive, so your help is needed in order for us to save lives. Each pet receives prompt medical attention, is spayed/neutered, fully vaccinated and microchipped before being adopted into a loving home. Medical care is our main expense. We also must purchase microchips, heartworm and flea preventions, food and many other supplies. We are an ethical group of volunteers who promises to use every penny for the rescue, care and adoption of pets in need. All donations are tax deductible. No Paid Staff!! Click our PAYPAL link below or mail your check to PO Box 4335, Irmo, SC 29063 THANK YOU!!!
