Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Leonardo, a three-year-old Anatolian Shepherd mix. He is loving life in his foster home but looking for one he can calls his fur-ever! His foster momma share's this about him.....
Leonardo appears to be very sociable and insists on meeting EVERY person in his line of sight. Each acquaintance becomes his “new, best friend” and he will happily walk alongside them , tail a’waggin.
Friendly beyond measure, Leonardo LOVES kids. No matter how big or small, he accepts the pats and hugs with sheer delight! Live with a moody adolescent? He can coax a smile easily! Elderly? Leo approaches slowly and stands quietly for his pets. And other dogs?? Oh, well those make him the happiest! With his quiet and patient demeanor, Leo has calmed even the most timid pup. And he pretty much ignores the dogs who charge and bark. However, he does seem puzzled by their attitude.
Leo gives new meaning to the word furball. Blessed with a dense, cottony undercoat and a stiffer outercoat, brushing him results in a satisfying pile of soft fur! He will move his body all around to make sure you thoroughly brush every inch.
He has a great appetite too. You can expect to feed him between 5 and 6 cups of dry food, separated into a morning and night meal.
On cool days, Leo insists on staying outside, contentedly sleeping in a cool spot. He patrols the perimeter of his area with the dedication of his breed before settling down for a nap.
