Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Adoptable Shoes is in need of a new foster home — originally rescued from Los Banos Shelter with his siblings during Christmas, his current foster has been going above and beyond for him! Driving 2 hrs round trip and sponsoring training lessons for him to be his most adoptable self! We are looking for fosters within 1-1.5 hrs of Davis or Sacramento.
Shoes is a sweet, sensitive 7-8 month old neutered shepherd mix. He is crate trained/house trained, lives with other dogs, and has received training from Miriam Yi at @saturndogtraining. He is ready to impress you with his cues like sit, down, wait. He has herding tendencies that would make him a best candidate for an adult home. He would love a yard, but not required for fosters. Shoes is a talker and has a lot to say, so a non-apartment might be best for this chatty kathy!
Shoes is being fostered in DAVIS, CA
Estimated DOB: 9/2/2023
$300 adoption donation includes age-appropriate shots, microchip with free lifetime registry, deworming, flea preventative, and spay/neuter agreement addendum
Interested in adopting?
1. Please complete our online form at heartsforpawsrescue.com/adoption-application
2. We will respond in 1-3 days for a call!
3. If it sounds like a potential match for you and the dog of interest, we will promptly set up a meet and greet at the foster home
Please note we are a foster-based rescue meaning our dogs are in individual foster homes throughout sac and the bay. For this reason we may only be able to schedule meets for one dog at a time (or litter). The average timeline between app submission and a meet and greet is 3-5 days. Please only submit an application for a specific dog if you are ready to adopt that animal within a week's time.

If we AND you feel the dog is right for your family, adoption will be formalized!
Our number one goal is to adopt good dogs to great homes, so that no dog is left behind. Our animals are spayed/neutered (or will be released with a voucher and agreement to provide proof of certificate within vet-approved date).
We wish for our rescue dogs to be fully immersed in your lives, and be treated like true, loved members of the family.
All Adopters must sign a waiver release/memorandum of Understanding with completion of Adoption.
