What is Rehome?
If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
I adopted Kady almost 3 years ago from a family (mom, dad, two children) who had her since she was a kitten. They were moving out of state and could not take her. I am single without children and was excited about having a companion. Unfortunately, Kady has struggled since coming to live with me. I work long hours (12-24 hours at a time) and she does not like to be alone. Her vet believes she has separation anxiety. This causes her to not use her litter box. She has been thoroughly checked out by her vet multiple times to rule out any medical issues. I have pet sitters come to feed and play with her when I am away but it has never helped. I think she would be happier in a home with more than one person or cat. She is 11 but still playful and likes to cuddle on my lap. She would do well with someone who works from home or has a more traditional work schedule.
