Personality: easygoing, loyal, snuggler, eager-to-please, smart, affectionate, playful, energetic, adventurous, adaptable, rambunctious, trustworthy, and goofy/funny.
Have you been Gnashing your teeth trying to find the perfect pup? Well Gnash no longer cuz I'm Nash the dog, here to save the day! I am just one big smoosh: I just love people and will shower you with all kinds of kisses and cuddles.
If you are looking for an office mate while you work at home, look no longer. I am happy to hunker down on the sofa while you attend your virtual meetings and will look forward to our sniffy walks when you are looking to hit your 10,000 steps. I also have a signature "belly-up move that delights pretty much everyone, so get ready for it!
I aim to please and even dropped a piece of pizza on demand! I challenge my fellow doggies to follow suit. I also know the words "sit", and "no", and am pretty eager to learn some more new stuff, so let's see what you've got up your sleeve. House-training is another thing I'm making great strides on.
Jumping for joy at meeting new people is fun, but I'm told it can be scary to little humans. So I guess I need some more training before going to a home with children. I'm great with other dogs, even the somewhat finicky dog who rules the foster home I'm staying in.
Apply to adopt me, Nash! If you're lucky we could go for a walk, and I may even pull that belly-up move for a good scratch.
Instagram is the place to follow my adventures! @kvanbeve

City Dogs & City Kitties Rescue is a foster-based rescue in Washington, DC. We do not have a shelter. CDCK has a thorough adoption process to find the best possible fit for each of our dogs and cats (we do not operate under a first-come, first-served model).
Upon accepting a new cat or dog into the organization, we provide a basic vet visit that includes necessary vaccinations, disease screenings, deworming, microchips, and spay/neuter for dogs six months and older. We do not provide a comprehensive medical exam before adoption. As a result, sickness, injury, and disability may exist unbeknownst to CDCK. City Dogs & City Kitties Rescue is not responsible for payment of any vet care, including known and unknown medical conditions once a cat or dog is adopted from us.
Dog specific: Rabies, DHPP, and Bordetella vaccines. They are tested for HW, Lyme, Ehrlichia, Anaplasmosis.
Most cats and dogs will have a house-training accident in the initial days in their new home and we cannot guarantee any pet is housebroken or crate trained.
We also update our Facebook page daily with new cats and dogs.
