My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

WATERDOWN, ON Despite his challenging start, Cesar, the delightful three-year-old standard poodle, quickly became a beloved member of our SPIN family. With his irresistible standard poodle charm, Cesar found himself in a predicament, diagnosed with mild hip dysplasia and osteoarthritis, but his spirit shone through. In the midst of an overflowing shelter, facing tough decisions, the compassionate staff saw beyond Cesar's challenges and reached out to SPIN for a brighter alternative. Welcoming this affectionate snuggle bug into our rescue was a heartwarming decision, emphasizing that in the face of adversity, positivity prevails, and we're overjoyed to be part of Cesar's journey toward an even brighter future. If you are ready to be a part of Cesar's journey and even brighter future please contact us to start the conversation and give Cesar the forever home he truly deserves!

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

Each adoptive family will complete an application, come out to meet the available dog(s) and then email us after the meeting to let us know their intentions to pursue the adoption. We will do a home visit, check their references and then decide on the best home for each dog. Once a home is chosen, the family will sign our adoption contract and pay the $450 adoption fee prior to taking their new family member home with them!

Go meet their pets

All our dogs are in loving foster homes so you must have an appointment to meet them.

More about this rescue

SPIN strives to educate and raise public awareness about how to be responsible for and share your life with a companion animal. We talk about the importance of spay/neuter programs, the deplorable conditions found in puppy mills and advocate for change. We are most proud, however, of our work in engaging like-minded people together by providing a forum to discuss how to care for and celebrate the poodle breed, but also to come together when necessary to help poodles in need.
