Say hi to Thunder. When she's not exploring every nook and cranny of her home, she enjoys spending her free time sitting on the windowsill bird watching and daydreaming. Her favorite toys are feather wands along with some nice toy mice. Although she can be a more independent cat, a good shake of the treat bag is sure to get her attention and send her running your way. Give her some time to warm up and she will make a nice companion. Thunder would do best as the only cat in a nice, quiet home.

Additional adoption info

To adopt a cat or dog from PAWS Chicago:

- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Have a form of identification (license or state ID)
- Verify that you are allowed to have a cat/dog where you currently live.
- Be able to spend the time and resources necessary to provide the training, medical treatment and proper care for your cat.
- Bring along all family members (including children) to meet the cat/dog(s).
- Be able to take the cat/dog home on the day of adoption.
- Have the time to spend up to an hour with an adoption counselor to discuss the responsibility of owning a cat/dog and making it a lifetime commitment.

Adoption Fee:

- $150.00 for kittens
- $100.00 for cats 1-5 years of age
- $75.00 for cats 6-9 years of age
- $50.00 for cats 10 years and older
- $450.00* for puppies
- $350.00* for dogs 1-7 years of age
- $200.00 for dogs 8 years and older

*A $100.00 refundable training deposit is also required for each dog/puppy. This deposit is refundable upon completion of obedience training. You will have four months from the date of the adoption to complete a basic obedience class with your new puppy/dog. When you provide proof that your PAWS dog has completed a course, we will reimburse you the $100.00 deposit you submitted at the time of adoption.

Adoption Fee Includes:

- Spay/neuter surgery
- All age-appropriate vaccinations
- Microchip
- Lifetime guarantee if something happens to you or you can no longer care for your pet
- Support throughout the pets lifetime
