My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Wyatt is a sweet 6 1/2 year old Hound mix. He loves walks and CUDDLES and loves being by your side all the time. He does struggle with some anxiety and can be distrustful of men at first but will eventually warm up to them. Wyatt came from a very anxious home and would thrive in a home that can help him at his speed. He loves all of the attention he can get, and would love a home where he can have a nightly cuddle session before bedtime. He would make the perfect office dog. Wyatt isn't the biggest fan of going to the vet, so he is muzzle trained for his safety and the safety for the vet and their staff. You couldn't ask for a sweeter dog.

The adoption fee is $275 and covers age appropriate vaccines, a microchip, and a spay/neuter.

We are limiting adopters on the property to maintain social distancing so you will be invited to meet your match AFTER the application has been reviewed and approved. At that time, you will be introduced to him by a one of our dog counselors. They will help with ensuring he's the right pet for you. If so, you will be invited to complete the adoption.

Applications are typically worked in time stamp order based on date/time of submission. If you have other dogs in your home, they must all meet the potential adoptee prior to application submission. It may save you a trip to bring them with you when you visit, if you are certain you want to adopt a new family member.

Please come out to the country and visit our animals. We are located at 14110 S. 84th St. in Papillion, NE. Drive 3 miles South the highway 370 and 84th intersection. We are the first driveway past Fairview Road on the right.

We're open every day but Monday and Wednesday from 12pm to 5pm.

More about this rescue

We are a no kill shelter operating in Sarpy County, Nebraska, a suburb of Omaha. We re-home dogs, cats and small critters. We work with dogs that are typically on "death row" and take in dogs from kill shelters in KS, TX, MO and elsewhere, as needed. Our cats usually come from kill shelters with an occasional owner surrender under special circumstances. Critters are found a variety of ways.

We also provide boarding and grooming services at very reasonable rates.
