Hi, I’m Hippo! I’m the sweetest pup who absolutely adores my people. I’m bouncing with excitement to find my forever family!
I’m a friendly gal who just wants snuggles, attention, and playtime. I’m learning so much with my foster family. In fact, I’m catching on quickly to potty training and I can even stand by the door to let you know what I need to go outside! I enjoy my crate, and I’m happy to rest in there during the night and while you’re out of the house. My foster family says that I’m their little shadow and that I’m great at following my humans around and making sure they’re okay. My favorite activities so far are playing with my chew toys, laying down for belly rubs, and showing off my zoomies in the backyard. I’m a very loyal girl, and I’m looking for a family to show me lots of love and help me build my confidence.
Since I’m still learning how to read other dogs’ body language, it can take me some time to warm up and come out of my shell. I’ll do well with a patient family who is okay with slowly introducing me to any new human or animal friends in the home. After a very slow introduction to another dog in my foster home, I am completely comfortable and love to follow him around! I haven’t met other cats yet, so I can’t share how I’d do with other cat friends. I also get nervous with quick movements or loud noises like car doors shutting. Since I’m a young gal, I’m still learning my basic commands and what is appropriate to chew on. But I’m super smart and eager to learn, so I know I can learn everything I need to know with love, positive reinforcement, and a bunch of fun chew toys!
