***FOSTER OR ADOPTER WANTED – CURRENTLY ON LONG ISLAND***
Looking for a big boy? Meet Chance, an extremely handsome two-year-old, 90 lb. Rhodesian Ridgeback/Labrador Retriever mix. Unfortunately, his family can no longer care for him. He was adopted as a young puppy to a rescue that doesn’t take their animals back. The family personally tried to rehome him on their own, but to no avail and local shelters are full. He is desperately in need of a new home ASAP!
Chance is an affectionate dog that loves to be right by his owner's side. He has a nice medium energy level, but can also lay around for half the day. He enjoys short bursts of play in the yard to tire him out or a nice walk around the neighborhood. Chance cannot get enough pets and belly rubs too! He’s a really wonderful boy!
He knows many commands and is fully house and crate trained. Chance is good with dogs but has not been around cats. His ideal family would be one with prior large dog experience and no children under 13 due to his size & inexperience around young kids. A fenced yard is highly preferred.
Chance is vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm negative, neutered, and is on monthly prevention.
**This is a courtesy post for PAWS Long Island who is in contact with the current owners. If you have specific questions about Chance or are interested in applying/meeting him, please email adoptions@paws-li.org or call 631-306-4616. You can also CC or email info@happilyfureverafter.org directly.
