My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Luna is always excited to say hello to people. She's also a super sniffer. While she can be skiddish and scared of unfamiliar things, she's always curious and sweet.

Care:
Lune is a Shar Pei and that means she needs some extra attention above walking and feeding and playing. Her wrinkles under her mouth do need to be wiped after she feeds, and it's a good idea to keep a hand towel close by her water bowl because her mouth can drip a lot after she drinks water. It's highly recommended to not let her skin stay wet. This can lead to bacteria growth in her wrinkles. After she drinks water, she knows to wait and have her mouth wiped. She likes to hear "good wipe!" when she's done.

Luna has skin allergies associated with her breed (Shar Pei). We have found that a daily allergy pill (Apoquel) works well to keep her allergies at bay, along wtih medicated wipes. We also wash her ears once or twice a week and put a medicated ointment in her ear that helps with ear/skin inflamation.
