Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Faye is a three or four-year-old female Border Collie mix (that is a guess on breed mix) who came to us from a local animal control officer. She enjoys long walks and possesses a playful, silly, affectionate, and loving nature. She would do best in a home with children over 12 mostly because she is still learning not to jump up on people. She was evaluated by a trainer who thought she was a very good girl who would enjoy having an owner who provided her with more training. Although the trainer thought she was nervous around other dogs, she has shown us a very playful side of her personality with Harvey, another dog in our care. The two have a great time playing together. She weighs 79 lbs. and was spayed and updated on her vet care on 12/21. Our volunteers adore this sweet and gentle pup.
If you are interested in adopting a dog, please fill out our dog adoption application here: http://medfieldshelter.com/adopt. Our dog adoption fee is $350. Every dog we place is vaccinated, wormed, treated for ticks/fleas, and spayed/neutered prior to adoption. We send each dog home with a collar and leash.
With very few exceptions, dogs are happiest and the most well-behaved when they receive daily exercise and ongoing training, so we always prefer to place our dogs with families who are willing to make a commitment to both.
All adoption meetings are by appointment only as we only have two employees. Our manager or one of our volunteers will be happy to set up an appointment for you to come meet the pets, but please fill out the adoption application first.
