My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Willie’s assorted human-like expressions will just melt your heart! This exquisite 2-year old, 60-pound Pit Bill mix is a super chill dude who is happy to do whatever his humans are doing. He is a big mush who adores men, women, kids, and other dogs. A touchy-feely kinda pup, Willie is all about being close to his people and forming strong loving bonds.

Willie is still figuring out what it means to be fully housebroken, but he’s making notable progress every day. A fan of the great outdoors, Willie enjoys going for walks and sniffing everything along the way. He’s fairly well-mannered on a leash and is warm and friendly toward everyone he encounters along the way.

Willie is a lazy bones much of the time, but he also has an extremely goofy side. Curious and silly, Willie loves every single toy he sees, and he never refuses the opportunity to play with another dog. Alert and gleeful, Willie has a zest for life and appreciates whatever gifts come his way. It’s no surprise, this big boy has a hearty appetite and goes bonkers for treats. He has already mastered the commands sit and paw, and he’s on the road to learning many more!

A true romantic, Willie’s favorite pastime is cuddling, snuggling, and sitting on the couch with his loved ones. He may not look like a lap dog, but he sure considers himself one! Adaptable, sweet, adorable, and fun, Willie would make an ideal companion for anyone interested in adopting a young, vibrant, mellow dog with oodles of potential and a heart of pure gold.

More about this rescue

PupStarz Rescue is an animal welfare group committed to the rescue and rehabilitation of dogs and cats in public shelters at high risk of euthanasia, as well as those in danger of abuse. We are committed to rescuing as many animals as possible, saving over 2,600 dogs and cats since 2015.

PupStarz Rescue is a foster-based rescue, relying on fosters to open their homes and lives to our Animals. Animals in our care receive proper medical care, including alteration, vaccinations, and microchipping.

Following a thorough screening, our animals are placed in loving, responsible, committed forever homes. PupStarz Rescue ensures that adoptions are an appropriate match for both the animal and their new family by educating prospective adopters about the responsibilities and costs of bringing a furry companion into their lives.

We are committed to the welfare of our "Starz" beyond the adoption process. We maintain open communication with our adopters to ensure a smooth transition, and offer additional support such as positive training techniques.

Founded in 2015, PupStarz Rescue is a non-profit, 501(c)3, no-kill, animal rescue organization.
