My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This adorable little lady is Lizzy! She is a fairly active, good natured and a happy girl. She will be a little bit shy around people right at first until she gets used to them, but once she does, she will be their best friend forever. I think she will do better in an adult home or at least with no small kids…teenagers would be fine. She and her five puppies came to us from a local kill shelter just a few days after she gave birth. Believe it or not, someone left her and the puppies in a box on the steps of the shelter the night before we got her. She was a terrific mother…she raised her puppies, which have all found homes and now she’s ready for a great new life of her own. Unfortunately when she went in to be spayed she tested positive for heartworms, but she has just completed her heartworm treatment and she is good to go now. Lizzy is 2 years old and she weighs 24 pounds. She been spayed, 4DX heartworm tested, microchipped, fecal tested, current on all vaccines, wormed and is on heartworm and flea prevention. Her adoption fee is $400.

Lizzy is being fostered in Tennessee. Once adopted she will be transported to her pickup location by a professional dog transport company. Our rescue ships to the Northeast area every week and her fee includes transportation. Due to state laws, we cannot accept applications from residents of Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island or Maine since we can’t adopt directly to residents of those states.
