Well, if you are reading this, no doubt you have looked at quite a few dogs and are trying to find just the right one for your family. And, good news, there is a lid to every pot, the very perfect dog that will fit so perfectly into your home, family and lifestyle is out there!!
With that said, PLEASE read the post for handsome Brett fully before responding. Yes, he is so incredibly cute, the perfect amount of scruff and fluff, and if he could have a sprinkle of freckles across his nose, well, that would just complete the look!!
Brett is just a year old, and about 30 pounds or so, maybe a tad more. He is an Aussiedoodle, or and Aussiepoo if you prefer. We are not sure on that, perhaps he is a Cockadoodle, but whatever he is , he is cuteness mixed with poodle. He is very much the gentleman in the house. He is housebroken, doesn't chew, is not much of a barker and listen very well. Brett can be very happy, wiggly and snuggly, such a love.
BUT....apparently he has had some harsh "training" perhaps in his past. Brett reacts to raised voices in a defensive manner. He feels threatened when you look into his eyes. We are using training tips from a dog behaviorist to correct this reaction, and also make it a part of the past for Brett. To make a loving home, a safe place without any harsh corrections is the path Brett is on, to make a safe and calm home is his new norm.
We are looking for a person/couple/family that can help Brett on his journey. He is doing so incredibly well. But, he also needs someone with patience, understanding, and dog experience. We are not placing Brett into a home with children. He can be such a sweet snuggle bug, and he is just a year old and can put any negative memories far behind him with the right home.
