Justin has an adorable underbite when he smiles and an endearing personality to match!
If Justin’s underbite didn’t win your heart over, then maybe his great manners will!. Since he has been with us, we have observed the following:
- He is an excellent leash walker. Despite being a medium-large dog at 57 lbs, he walks calmly, and checks in with his caretaker. - Justin also has a laid back temperament which comes out when he is getting leashed up for walks and entering and exiting the kennel. Overall, he is patient and goes with the flow and is happy to be along for the ride, especially if that includes a long walk. - He shows signs of being house trained, as he frequently uses designated bathroom spots at the shelter. We know that this will make his transition to his forever home that much more seamless.
At just 2 years old, Justin deserves to see the world, explore, and feel warmth and affection. This well mannered, calm and house trained guy is going to thrive in his forever home.

Our shelter has more than 500 available cats and dogs every day! For pets at the shelter: Adoptions must be completed in-person at the shelter. AAC is open for adoption walk-ins every day from 11 a.m. – 7 p.m. A shelter pet’s availability can change at any time, so we recommend choosing a few favorites. For pets in foster: Go to www.AustinAnimalCenter.org to find the pet's profile and click that pet's pink “Adopt Me” button. This will prompt you to complete an adoption questionnaire. Submitting an application does not hold the animal for you.
We have dozens of animals that won't be listed online yet because they're still in their stray hold period, but can be pre-adopted at the shelter in case their owner doesn't come for them.

$80 dogs 6 months to 6 years, 30 lbs and up
$100 dogs under 30 lbs and/or under 6 months
$30 small animals
