My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

3-year-old Honey sure is sweet! She is a fun gal who loves playing with toys, especially ones that squeak! She can entertain herself for a long time just lying down with a nice chew toy. This lady is house-trained and working on crate training. She would also love to do some positive reinforcement training with you to learn even more!

Honey has been on a few adoption sleepovers that weren't quite right for her - we've learned that she doesn't seem to be a big fan of other animals or small children. We recommend that any kids in the family are 12 and up, and that Honey is the only pet in the home.

This lucky girl is staying in a foster home while she searches for her furever home, and her foster mom says she's she's settling in nicely. She loves spending as much time as she can with her foster parents, so we think she'd thrive in a home where someone's around most of the time. Do you work from home? Honey would love to be your four-legged assistant. She enjoys her walks, and isn't even fazed by loud distractions like lawn mowers and sirens. Though she's not crate-trained yet, she's started voluntarily walking in and spending a few minutes there. Bottom line: Her foster mom says she's "really a sweetheart" and would love to make arrangements for you to meet her.

If you're interested in meeting Honey, please email Hannah at hhecht@lollypop.org to set up an appointment to see if it's a match!

More about this shelter

Mission:
Lollypop Farm, the Humane Society of Greater Rochester, works together with our community better the lives of animals through justice, prevention, and life-saving care.

Vision: A just and compassionate world for all animals.

Lollypop Farm is not your typical animal welfare organization. We don’t classify ourselves as merely a shelter, simply taking in and rehoming pets. Rather, we are your partner. We’ll work with you to build a just and compassionate world for all animals–to save animals from abuse and suffering, to find a resource to keep your pet, to guide you in adopting a new pet, to make the tough decision to say goodbye to your family friend or to share information on how to help animals in your daily life.
