My name is Nacho Cheese!

Nacho Cheese is a 20 year old horse that was a breeding stallion all of his life. Since being gelded we have been working on his training and teaching him how to be a gentleman even if mares are around. Since Nacho was a breeding stallion for so long, he will probably retain that mentality, and will always need that taken into consideration. We are currently offering Nacho as a pasture pal for adoption, but we have been starting the groundwork to hopefully start him under saddle. Nacho Cheese has been learning how to stand tied quietly for grooming and hoof handling, how to work in the round pen, on a lunge line, and be led through our obstacle course. Nacho is also learning how to back on verbal cues, and yield his fore and hind quarters correctly. We have gotten Nacho accustomed to placing a saddle pad on his back while standing quietly and will be adding the saddle soon. As we have been working with Nacho Cheese, a really cool personality is beginning to emerge. Instead of his business being "nacho business", he has begun to actively engage with us and want to be a part of our business, and is very food motivated.
