My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Tenshi is a very sweet girl who’s a little shy, so she asked us to write her profile for her. She is a petite young female who was rescued from a shelter in Kentucky. Looking at her angelic face it is hard to believe someone could have ever mistreated her. Tenshi is very submissive, her ears flatten and she cowers when she first meets you, classic signs of a heavy hand.

This little angel has made significant strides in the short time she has been in MARS' care. While it is heartbreaking to see her hesitancy with people, it doesn’t take much to remedy the situation. Tenshi is so eager to trust and love, that it just takes a soft voice and gentle movements to melt her into a wiggling sweetheart. As she spends more time with you, her confidence grows and she becomes increasingly relaxed and playful.

Tenshi is spayed, vaccinated and H/W negative. Being an Akita Angel, she is crate trained, housebroken and loves to go for car rides. Everyone on her transport team, from Kentucky to Ontario remarked about her wonderful car manners. She would be best as the only pet and we would encourage her new family to attend obedience classes to further build her confidence. Tenshi is being fostered in Ontario, Canada.
