My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

1120552 - This handsome guy is Odin.  He is a smart, playful, loyal companion.  He loves to play with other dogs (especially if they like to run so he can chase), and knows basic commands.  He even listens well off leash on our land and is happy to stay near you unlike a lot of huskies.  He is a husky mix and just over 3 years old. Like most huskies he can be vocal and can be a little stand-off-ish when he first meets you.  He seems to warm up to women faster then men. Also in typical husky fasion he does have some seperation anxiety, and needs to be in a strong crate when you aren’t home, he is getting better with this and does settle down but it takes him a few minutes.  He would do best with someone that isn’t gone too much, can get him plenty of exercise and is in a home with a yard (with a 6ft secure fence), not an apartment.  Husky experience is preferred!  He did okay in his cat test and wasn't overly interested and has been good with the kids he has meet. To adopt this absolutely gorgeous boy please complete an application at www.sloppykisses.org/adoptions!

More about this rescue

Sloppy Kisses Animal Rescue is a volunteer-based organization that was founded in 2018 by a group of animal advocates in Colorado. It was formed to rescue as many stray and homeless animals as possible by partnering with shelters in areas that are inundated with stray and relinquished animals. Sloppy Kisses Animal Rescue works to transport the animals to Colorado, fosters them in temporary homes, provides for their medical needs, brings them up to date on vaccinations, spay/neuters them if they aren’t already, and adopts them to permanent homes. This is accomplished through working with a network of volunteers, foster caregivers, local veterinarians, animal trainers, and donations!

We also work with our local community to provide assistance with re-homing pets and providing resources such as behavioral and medial to people who are considering surrendering their pet in an effort to keep pets in their homes and out of the shelter system.
