My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Bruno is a 3 year old altered male. He was brought to us as a stray. Bruno had some skin issues when he came in, since then he has been on some medication and has improved tremendously. He is very shy and will take some time to warm up to you. We fill that Bruno would do best being the only pet in the home and with kids 13 and older.

More about this shelter

We make every effort to find homes for every animal in our care. When our shelter is over-crowded, we rely on a network of "foster families" to take care of our pets. All the while, we have increased our efforts to "get the word out" about our pets (e.g. this website, pictures, newspaper publicity, etc.) Our efforts pay off.

The Staff and Board of Directors at the Humane Society love pets, and our actions bear out that simple fact. Our animal guests get the very best care while they are with us.

Please help! We need volunteers to help us exercise the dogs. We try to walk the dogs each day to provide them with the exercise and attention they so desperately need. You can volunteer as little or as much as you like. If you would be interested in helping us care for our animal guests, please call the shelter at 814-443-2121.
