Meet our big, goofy guy named Sven! Sven is a young boy, about 1 year old or less, who may still be growing. We think he is a Pittie mixed with Mastiff because of his size and doofy personality. Sven came to our shelter after he was found roaming in town. He is a big guy who doesn't understand his size at this time, so he can get jumpy. He is very friendly and loves to get attention from people. He can be stubborn and will need some regular obedience training, but he is a good boy! Sven is good with with other dogs. He has also tested well with cats. Because of his size and jumping, any children in the home must be at least 12 years old, sturdy on their feet, and have experience owning, handling large/rambunctious dogs. We are looking for a home that has experience with large, playful dogs for Sven.

MAC IS OPEN 7 DAYS A WEEK (M-F 8-4pm) (Sat-Sun 10-4pm) Applications must be submitted and approved BEFORE a meet and greet can be scheduled to meet an animal. Appts to meet dogs can made to suit your schedule, please email/call for an appt. We do prefer to be contacted by email for adoption inquiries at Adopt@savingpawsct.org. You must be 21 years of age to adopt with valid ID. There is a short application for adoption, however if you do not own your home, or you own a condo, we must speak with your landlord or housing association giving permission to dogs/cats. Bully breed specific permission is required if you rent or own a condo. If you own your home, proof of home ownership is required. If there are other pets in the home they must be licensed (if a dog) and up to date on vaccinations. If there is another dog in the home a dog interaction must be done at the shelter before adoption, to ensure the safety and well being of all pets. All children in the home need to be declared and brought down to meet the animal.
Applications must be submitted and approved BEFORE a meet and greet can be scheduled to meet an animal.
An approved application does not guarantee an adoption. We do not hold animals for meet and greet appointments.
ALL ANIMALS ARE SPAYED AND NEUTERED BEFORE THEY GO HOME.
