My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Single girl...
- Athletic, shapely and attractive
- Loves long walks, hikes and rousing games of fetch.
- Experienced traveler who chills out on short or long car rides (I'm never the driver...I don't have my license!)
...Seeks like-minded human to share fun adventures and then cuddle time on the couch (or floor, if you prefer!)

Meet Bertie Sue! This beautiful mixed breed girl appears to be the perfect blend of Carolina Mountain Dog/ Kelpie/ GSD/ Dingo/Belgian Mal? The first thing you notice about this girl is sleek, athletic build. And then it's those captivating golden eyes.

Bertie is a 1 -1/2 yr. old, 50 lbs., fit and lean pup. There's not an extra ounce on this girl to slow her down. But she also knows how to relax, and can keep herself entertained for hours if given interesting chew toys. Bertie is an active girl who would love someone to take her hiking and on all their adventures. Check out a video of her focus playing ball here: https://youtu.be/slin2ktOgx8

Fortunate to be living in a foster home, Bertie is housetrained, crate trained and knows many of her basic commands. Her foster parents have helped her adapt to the house rhythms and introduce her to visitors and neighbors on a consistent basis. She bonds quickly with adults and is eager to please. She loves car rides, playing ball and nothing is better than being with her human(s). And this girl is QUIET! She doesn't bark at passing cars, knocks on the door or even at the dreaded UPS man. That's some varsity level dog manners!
