Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Intake Date: 12 Feb 2022 ---- Adopted 19 Mar 2022 ----- Returned to Rescue: 2 January 2024 ----- Age at original intake: 12 wks ----- Breed: DNA tests show mostly Golden Retriever and German Shepherd mix with some Koolie ----- Size: 60 lbs ----- Status: owner surrender ----- Compatible with: dogs, children, cats ----- Suitable for: home with a securely fenced yard. ----- Medical/Behavioral Needs: None noted ----- Additional Notes: Nahoa is one of our 4 pups that came to rescue after owner neglect and abuse. She is such a beautiful girl with soulful blue eyes. This is the third litter from this home over the years that have come to FBS so we can attest that they mature into sweet and beautiful dogs with proper care.Puppies are an 18 year commitment and require a proper start. Regular and Repeat Training, socializing, vetting. If you are not prepared for that lifelong commitment, do not apply. They deserve a committed family. And a right start to a well adapted adult dog starts NOW.
Pupdate: Nahoa has been returned to rescue for being too high energy and rambunctious around the smaller dog in the home with a heart issue. Her adopter says she was crated a lot as a result. Here, Nahoa can play to her hearts content as we look for her truly forever home. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- If interested in meeting and potentially adopting please read the adoption requirements and complete the adoption application located at forbellessake.org. Once processed and approved a meet and greet can be scheduled and if a match an adoption is finalized at that time. FBS standard adoption fee is $175 and all dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, and treated for any known medical needs. Breeds are not guaranteed but often a best guess. Housetraining is not guaranteed but crate training is worked on with all residents. If a yard is present, a secure fence is mandatory.
