My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Benny is so full of love and energy. He’s still very much a puppy, though he’s starting to calm down more and get better at settling without enforced naps.

He’s eager to please, loves earning praise & pets, and is always up for playtime. He has no issues with resource guarding. He hates the car but does great with grooming & vet visits. He’s a bit of a velcro dog (loves to be with his people!), but he doesn’t have separation anxiety and he’s unfazed by even the worst thunderstorms.

He’s not aggressive at all, but he has some very trainable general anxiety that mostly manifests as barking and a lack of confidence in new environments. In really high-arousal moments, he regresses back to jumping on people and mouthing them (putting his mouth around something but not applying any pressure).

Benny needs an experienced and patient owner to help him navigate his big feelings. Unfortunately, I don’t have the time or expertise to meet his needs anymore.
