My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Ernie is a sweet and handsome Catahoula mix…approximately 3 years old.

He prefers a tight schedule/feeding time, with naps in his crate (door open).

Ernie does well with other dogs, and seems to do ok with cats.

He is fully vetted, heartworm negative and microchipped.

Ernie loves people, but prefers to hang out with men, and be their best buddy!

He’s a sweet boy, and beautiful, as well!

He is food motivated, so training works very well, with treats!

****Ernie is currently in foster care in Dallas/Fort Worth, so transport would need to be arranged.****

Salvaged Souls Pet Rescue is based out of Texas, though we have expanded/transitioning to Colorado!

We are a registered 501c3, saving dogs from not only local (DFW) shelters, but also South Texas, Houston, San Antonio, Utah, and many other distant shelters.

We are also frequently asked to take owner surrenders, strays, abused and abandoned dogs, so we are happy to step up, as long as a local foster is willing to house a particular pet.

If we can make even a small difference in animal welfare, we are serving our purpose.
