What is Rehome?
If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
I took Sheldon in 7.5 years ago when a coworker had 8 puppies to find homes for. (She took a dog in not knowing it was pregnant). I wanted to help her out; my experience with dogs at that time was zero. I work a lot, and life circumstances have also changed, and I feel bad, but I don't feel like we are able to live life to the fullest. Sheldon has a lot of energy. Loves to walk, run and play. He is a good watch dog and will alert me if anyone approaches the house/yard. He is protective of me and sometimes tries to hump; I feel he thinks it’s his job to protect me. He sometimes jumps, but the “no touch, no talk, no eye contact” works. I feel Sheldon needs someone to exercise him more. I’ve tried to make it work, but it’s not. He will go in crate freely with the door open, but barks and tries to get out if you close the door. I want Sheldon to live the rest of his life to his fullest potential, and for him to go to a good, loving person/home where they can benefit and love each other.
