Got kids? Act like a kid? Love to play? Looking for a best friend? Well, I’m your guy. I’ve been with my foster family now for almost two months and they’ve taught me so much. I know how to sit, wait, let’s go, leave it, be quiet…and I’m learning more every day. My foster mom takes me on walks two times a day and I can now walk across the street from another dog and keep on walking. We’ve been meeting a few neighbor dogs every morning before work and “hanging out”. We don’t really get to play but we say hi and find pine cones together. I also got to go to the beach with foster mom and dad and wow did I love it! I ran and ran and kept the birds on the move. I think I was born for this! I also recently met three new doggy friends: Dexter, Harry, and Turner. We did get to play and I loved it! They are all part of the plan to school me in proper puppy play. I’d say I did really well, even when one unnamed friend tried to pee on me!

My foster mom and dad are awesome and they do love me, but I have so much more love to give. I hope there is a family that’s just right for me, with kids who love to run and play just like me, maybe even a fun loving dog brother or sister? Maybe it’s your pack? If it is, reach out to my friends at NorthWest Wag Rescue and let’s meet. I’m so ready for my furever family.

From the foster mom…Like Glacier said, we do love him and he fits well into our home but he’s still young and lights up when kids are around. Whether it’s playing fetch, keep-away from Glacier, or rolling around on the grass, Glacier would love a girl or boy of his own to do it with. He doesn’t care if they are 3 or 30, just as long as they are a kid at heart.

Good with kids? Yes, he loves to play.

Good with cats? No, he likes to chase them

Has experience on a leash? Yes, he’s very gentle while walking on the leash. Especially when walking with only one person and for a short period of time.

Potty trained? 100%

Crate trained? He loves his crate and is happiest sleeping there at night and resting in it when the family is gone. We can tell it is his safe place.

Where does the dog stay when it is home alone? In his crate.

Where does the dog sleep? In his crate but I get the feeling he’d love to share your bed.

When does the dog eat? Morning and Evening. Around 7:30 AM and 6:00 PM

What does the dog eat? Dry dog food and treats.

Temperament/Personality: Very loving. He wants to be with his people. He still has some silly, wiggly, zoomy, puppy energy but only uses it for good. He knows which toys are his (although once in a while tries to sneak a pillow or stuffy), he waits for you to exit the door and only goes with you if called, he’s calm when you are calm, and ready to go when you are. He’s very intune to his family's vibe.

What does the dog's ideal home look like? He’s a homebody. He loves the yard and keeping an eye on the birds and squirrels. He’s always ready to go for a walk but doesn’t NEED to go for a walk. Short walks are better than long ones. He’s very happy just hanging out at home. He needs a place for his kennel, he feels safe there.

What are the dog's strengths? Loyalty, love of his people, patient, beautiful, happy, playful…

What is the dog still working on? He has so much energy that he would do best with another pup that has the energy to match. He does well following the cues of other dogs but just wants to play so badly. No agression, just excitement.

If your foster were a celebrity, who would they be? George Clooney. Very handsome and a star, but doesn’t take himself too seriously.

If your foster dog were on a dating site, what would their profile say? Tall, dark, handsome, male who’s looking for a best friend/s to talk to, watch movies with, play with and love. Nothing would be better!

Beach or Mountains? Beach - loves to romp and run.

Squeaky/Bouncy/Chewy, what do they look for in a toy? Chewy and/or squeaky for sure!

Complete this sentence “My foster wishes they had a friend with whom they could share…..the active times, the quiet times, and a few table scraps please.”

What’s your foster’s favorite dessert? Hmm, interesting question. He does love a good pig’s ear.
