After a challenging start in life, three-year-old Augustus (known as “Gus” to his foster mom), is finally learning how to develop trusting bonds with humans. He can be a bit shy with people at first, but is affectionate when he warms up (and is particularly great with children). Augustus is playful, adores toys, and enjoys socializing with other dogs. He also loves to eat and barks with excitement when his food is served. His ideal forever family will be patient, loving, and work to build his trust. It will also include at least one other friendly dog to help build his confidence and provide additional companionship. As his foster mom notes, he has come so far in the short time that he has been in our rescue’s care. We know he will continue to thrive as part of a warm and supportive forever family!
