Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hamish is a 11-months-old Australian cattle dog / Irish wolfhound mix, though his temperament definitely leans more towards his cattle dog ancestry. He is extremely intelligent, energetic, playful, curious and protective. He makes an excellent adventure pal, hiking partner, and once he's depleted a quiet companion. Hamish has successfully completed 12 weeks of obedience training and understands many useful basic commands that help make him a pleasant housemate and leash walker, however his new guardian will need to continue his training into adulthood to maintain and grow his skills and exercise his mind.
Hamish's ideal guardian is one who has experience with and loves cattle dogs for their quirks, strengths and supreme intelligence, one who will provide him with consistent routines, positive reinforcement, and plenty of playtime and enrichment activities. (He says he'd also love a large yard for sniffing and fetching if we're out here making requests.)
