My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Claus, the canine Casanova with a heart of gold and a coat as shiny as the North Pole. This handsome Rottweiler is not only good with people, but he could charm the spots off a Dalmatian. While we haven't thrown him into the doggy dating scene just yet, Claus has already shown his cool demeanor by remaining neutral even when faced with snarling naysayers. Talk about canine diplomacy!

At around 2 years old, Claus is a mature gentleman who knows his way around the house. He's mastered the art of potty training, conquered the crate, and even aced basic obedience like a canine Einstein. Though, let's be honest, his brilliance is no surprise. After all, who wouldn't be smart after surviving in the desert with nothing but cacti for company? Talk about a wild adventure!

Speaking of wild adventures, Claus was discovered by some lucky campers out past anthem. Running freely in the desert, he was like a mythical creature emerging from the sands. No collar, no microchip, and nobody came forward to claim this magnificent beast. How could anyone forget about Claus? It's enough to bring tears to your eyes, or perhaps that's just the sand in my eye.

But fear not, dear reader, because Claus has found his way into our hearts and home. We couldn't bear to see such a good-natured fella go unnoticed. Now, we're working on mastering the art of leash training. With his natural charm and good looks, I have no doubt Claus will soon be strutting down the sidewalks like a four-legged model.

So, if you're in the market for a furry friend who's as loyal as a reindeer to Santa, look no further than Claus. He's the Rottweiler with a heart as big as his appetite for treats. Adopting Claus means adding a touch of holiday magic to your life all year round. Don't let this opportunity slip

Our Adoption Process... If you are interested in adopting one of our fun loving not so rotten rotties, you will be asked to fill out a questionnaire that will allows us to get to know you better and to make sure the dog you are looking at is a good fit for your family and lifestyle. You can access our questionnaire by going to our website, www.rottenrottie.com click on the forms tab, and fill out the questionnaire and submit it online. After we review your answers, if we feel that the dog that you are interested in, is not a good fit for you and your family, we may recommend a different rottweiler companion. After we determine which Rottweiler(s) is the best for you, we will set up a time so that you can meet him or her at their house, where they will feel most comfortable and act as they normally do. We will require a home check to make sure the dog is going to a good home. An adoption contract will be signed to finalize the adoption and we do ask for a rehoming fee of $500 for most adults, $350 for most of our seniors 6 years and above for any rottweiler mix of any age (except puppies) . Our fees for puppies fluctuate depending on how much we had to invest into them or their litter, and weather they are purebred or a mix. These funds are necessary so that our organization may continue to rehome rottweilers. ALL of our dogs are sterilized, fully vaccinated and microchipped, heartworm tested negative and come with a collar and a leash. We have also addressed any injury or illness that they had when they came to us, or received in foster care. These problems will be disclosed to the adopter prior to adoption.

please be advised that in almost all cases we will not adopt our dogs to folks who live in different states. On rare occasion, if we feel that it is a PERFECT for both you and the dog, we sometimes will break that rule for our neighbors who live in Las Vegas. If you live in Vegas and would like us to consider you, please fill out an application.
