Hello, my name is Pepper, and I'm approximately two-years old! I'm a female terrier mix, and I was found as a stray dog living on the streets with my babies, and luckily, we were brought to the shelter where we could receive food and care. It's hard being a dog and not having a home, especially when you have babies to care for. I would love nothing more than to find a kind person to adopt me into a loving, FOREVER home. At 29lbs, I'm small and petite, and just the perfect size to snuggle with! I'm a little timid, but friendly. I get along well with my kennel mate, but if you have a dog, bring them to meet me! Before I go home with you, I will be spayed, microchipped, and vaccinated. One more thing--they told me that I have these things called heartworms, but they are easily treated with affordable treatment options, so just ask your vet or the shelter staff if you have questions about the treatment. Please give me a chance, and I promise that I will show you what a wonderful companion I can be!

Caddo Parish Animal Services is an open-admission shelter meaning no homeless animal is turned away. Our goal is to reunite lost pets with their owners and when that is not possible, find a new home for them, provided that they are healthy and not aggressive.
