My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Birthdate:  05/20/2023

Breed: One of a kind

Weight:   37 lbs

Well, well, well, who could resist a wagging tail from our boy, Bark Twain! You haven't lived until you've shared a joyful walk with this lovable hound dog. Bursting with sweetness and affection, he's a guaranteed remedy for even the gloomiest of days.

What's his favorite pastime, you ask? Pounding the pavement and marking his 'Twain Territory', of course! Nothing tickles Bark Twain more than enjoying a leisurely walk and discovering all those intriguing sniffing spots. Whether it's strolling through bustling city parks or rambling on quiet country trails, this boy just loves his walkies.

Don't let his solo adventures fool you though; Bark Twain is the epitome of a social butterfly. He mingles splendidly with other dogs, so if you're a multi-dog household, fear not. And at the end of the day, all he really wants is to rest his pawsome body on his forever couch.

Get ready to fall head over heels in love with this adorable, goofy guy, Bark Twain, your wag-tastically wonderful new companion. Welcome to the fun-filled life of living with a legend!

Walk-ins are welcome! Stop by during our open hours to meet our available dogs!!

Before you can adopt, please complete an adoption questionnaire on our website at pawscrossedny.org/dog-adoption-questionnaire. If you have any questions, please email us at adoptions@pawscrossedny.org for more information. Please understand that we cannot hold any pets. All adoptions are done on a first come, first adopt basis for pre-approved applicants.

The Shelter software system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of our dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We encourage you to select your new companion by considering each dog's individual personality and pet qualities instead of relying on a breed label that is only a guess.
