My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Sprout!

Sprout is a 6.5 lb, 4 month old puppy. His father is unknown, and his mother is Tequila, a chi mix who was recently adopted through CRT. It is estimated that Sprout may possibly end up around 15-20 pounds but this is just a guess since we don’t know who his father is.

Sprout is an adorable little guy with a big personality! He LOVES to play- running zoomies, jumping and weaving, playing tug with his brother. He also enjoys playing with his foster mom’s adult chihuahuas. One of them is super high energy and Sprout can keep up no problem! Even when he was very little he was confident and ready to have fun. He is quite the scrapper and loves attacking toys! He is also a really great jumper- it’s like he has springs in his legs!

Sprout is learning to go potty outside very well- both pee and poop. He looks at his foster mom when he potties outside and she tells him how good he is and then he gets super happy! He eats his kibble from a slow feeder bowl, otherwise he will gobble it way too fast.

Sprout earned the nickname, "baby clamps," when he was very young. His foster family jokingly started calling him this because he had a tendency to grab on to your finger and clamp down, and not let go! Fortunately, this behavior is MUCH improved. His foster mom reports that he seems to be learning that "clamping" isn’t a desirable behavior and he has gotten so much better as he’s grown.

Sprout is a perfect addition for a loving, nurturing family looking for a sweet and playful puppy! With behavioral guidance and a family to love him, he is going to grow into the perfect little companion!

Sprout is UTD on vaccines, HW Negative and on HW preventative. He will be considered foster to adopt until he is old enough to be neutered.

Sprout’s adoption donation is $350.00.

If you are interested in the above dog, please do not email us and tell us that you are interested, but submit an adoption application. The link for the application is below.

An application must be submitted and approved before a meet-n-greet can be scheduled.

Your current dogs/cats must be spayed or neutered unless a veterinarian has determined that your current pet(s) should not be fixed due to medical reasons. They must also be up-to-date on shots and on HW preventative.

Reference checks and a home visit are required so SE dogs can only be adopted in NC/SC, VA, TN, AL, GA, and MD.

Additional adoption info

If you are interested in one of our dogs, please submit an application.

We require an adoption application, reference checks and home visit before adoption.

We also require that all current pets be UTD on shots, on HW preventative and spayed/neutered. Adoption fee is $250.00 for Chi's over 1 year of age and $300 for Chi's under 1 year of age. Other adoption listings are priced as is.

We do not set up a meet-n-greet with a dog without an approved application and a completed home visit. The process starts with an application on line and when the application and references have been checked, a home visit is required. After the HV report has been reviewed by our board, a meet-n-greet will be set up.
