Sweet Pea is the perfect name for her because that's exactly what she is. The sweetest 4 year old girl who just had humans fail her. She was found with a severe case of mange (non contagious) but has been doing so well with her recovery.
Once given the time, Sweet Peas personality will shine in a house with dogs, kids, cats. Although she would also be content with just her people to love on.
Sweet pea loves walks and after a good walk will enjoy a long nap. She loves car rides and is always up for tagging along on any errands. She has great car manners. She sleeps on her dog bed but would love to snuggle with you as well if you are open for it. She has great crate manners and knows the crate command and to wait for release. She also knows sit and wait commands.
Sweet pea is on some medication for her mange but don't worry, she will gobble up her medicine with no questions asked.
Although humans initially failed her, she loves ALL people. She no longer jumps but when very excited will do little prances for love and attention.
She will entertain herself by throwing a ball up and chasing after it around the house. The squeakier the better but not required.
Sweet Pea is just looking for her furever home and would love the chance to share her love and snuggles. She thinks she is a lap dog but don't worry she's a petite pittie and won't smother you.
To set up a meet and greet or inquire about a dog, please first fill out an application at https://savinghoperescue.org/adopt It doesn't obligate you, but it is the first step. We don't get to all of the inquiries but respond to all applications. Thank you for choosing to rescue!
