My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

We rescued Doris and Doreen from a shelter in Quebec. We weren’t told the circumstances of how they ended up at the shelter. Big thank you to Freedom Drivers organizers and volunteers for getting these cute girls to us safely.

Doris and Doreen are lively little degus. They’re curious and friendly, but they’re still getting used to being handled. When she arrived, Doreen had an issue with her eyelids, but eye drops helped to clear it up. The vet gave Doris and Doreen a clean bill of health, and now they’re ready to find their forever home.
These two love snacks, timothy hay, building nests, their wheel, and dust baths. They make super cute little squeak noises and sometimes get very chatty with each other. They’re currently being housed in a double Critter Nation cage, and we are asking that their forever home have at least the same size cage, or bigger.
