My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Goose has been hanging in her new foster home since 2/26. In the past two weeks, Goose has been a superstar. She's SUCH a love bug who has a goofy energy to her.

Adjusting to a brand new environment isn't easy, but Goose has shown that she a smart and fun loving gal throughout the process.

She is receptive to training and seems to really enjoy the sessions!

She knows: sit, down, wait, and is getting the hang of loose leash walking. She's also housebroken with minimal accidents while in decompression period.

Goose is dog and cat friendly, but would also be just fine in a no animal home. She can entertain herself with treat puzzles, toys, bones, etc!

Consider meeting Goose and get ready to fall in love!

Behavioral:
1/31/24 foster notes: I just want to provide an update on Goose :) She seems to be settling in nicely and has been a joy to have around. Her energy comes and goes throughout the day, and can be intense when she wants it to be play time! Her zoomies around the yard are fun to watch and she is quite intrigued by our chickens, though has not displayed much of a prey drive as yet. She has yet to have an accident in the house and goes into her crate nicely when we are not able to be in the room with her. She is also smart and is working on sit, down, and stay. Off is proving a bit more challenging, but we think she will master it soon :) She does tend towards mouthiness, and would likely do best in a home with no small children.

1/28/24 day trip volunteer notes: Day Trip notes
Here are some notes from our fun day trip!:
Goose is the sweetest little gal. And I mean little! She seems to shrink every time we looked at her (she photographs large but didn't even come up to my knee!). She's the perfect size for a house or apartment. She was a little skeptical when we first took her from the shelter but warmed up quickly. She does great with women and men. She's super dog friendly. We walked her through Fairmount Park and along Kelly Drive down to the Philadelphia Museum of Art where she posed like a model for her photoshoot. She wanted to say hi to all the dogs and showed absolutely no aggression. No accidents or vomiting in the car and she did really well in the backseat. Note that she pulls on the leash on walks but was decently easy to manage because of her size. She loves toys for a second and then loses interest because she wants to look around and explore. I wish we could have had her in an enclosed space because she LOVES zoomies. I did a few sprints with her near the PMA and she had so so much fun and was so happy. She takes treats really gently as well. Sometimes her lip gets caught in her teeth which is super super cute. Overall a very sweet and curious disposition and the cutest little pup!

1/27/24 volunteer notes: Goose is the sweetest! She loves the car and will happily ride sitting down and looking out the window. She's good on her walks and checks in. She starts out pulling somewhat due to excitement but settles in nicely. Goose played with toys a lot and happily entertains herself running and squeaking.

Per Volunteer 1/14: Such a sweet and easy girl! Very easily leashed and has great leash manners. Outside she showed she loves treats and toys! She was attentive when I took treats out and took them sooo gently. She got so excited when I threw toys around but never fetched them back lol, just excited to romp around! Accepted handling all over, liked pets

1/13/24 playgroup: Goose did so well for playgroup! She was a bit timid at first, keeping her body low and allowing everyone to smell her. She was tolerant but took a bit to warm up, but then began running around and romping with everyone! She did some push and pull play, was very well mannered.

1/10/24 staff notes: Seems very timid in kennel. Lying on one side of kennel with ears back. I called to her but she did not get up or approach me.
