My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Today was a good day! I have been in the shelter for 3 months and this was such a nice break. I met a new friend and we went on a car ride. I am a super good boy on car rides! I lay down and get comfy or sit and look out the window. She took me out to a hiking trail. There were lots of new noises and movements, but I quickly adjusted to the new environment and enjoyed myself. There were so many things to see and smell! My friend said I was such a good boy and got me a yummy pup cup afterwards! I had the best day!
Three Words to Describe Me are:
Handsome, Curious, Big
Notes from My Walker: Valtava is a stunning, large shepherd with a plush coat and such a good boy! He was so easy and patient to harness and has excellent car manners. He went in and laid down or looked out the window the whole ride. I took him to Calero County Park where we went on a nice long hike. At first, he seemed out of his element and startled at the noises in the brush, but he quickly settled in the new adventure and enjoyed checking out all the smells. We passed many people and dogs and Valtava passed them all politely. He didn’t even bark at the dogs barking at him! Good boy, Valtava! Valtava knows sit and understood down very quickly. He likes treats and is very gentle about taking them. I brought a squeaky toy for the day and got to see his playful side as we randomly took some breaks to engage in play. Valtava is a strong boy and does pull on the leash, even with the harness. He’ll need some practice on walking on the leash without pulling. Valtava was an excellent Doggie Day Out companion! He would love a forever home where someone can enjoy what a good boy he is!
